Angola Soundtrack: The Unique Sound Of Luanda (1968-1976)

In their ninth release, Analog Africa explores the lesser documented music of Angola. It’s sound is unique to itself, featuring rhythms of Rebita, Kazukuta, Semba and Merengu. It is a convergence of musical influences originating from traditional Luanda rhythms, psychedelic guitars introduced by Congo, Caribbean merengue and the beats of Angolan carnival bands.
