Khun Narin

In 2013, Khun Narin Electric Phin Band (ขุนนริทร์ศิลป์พิณประยุกต์) piqued interest from a blog post on Dangerous Minds entitled “Mindblowing Psychedelia From Thailand“. The posting contained a Youtube video of the band performing a wild brand of hypnotic psych rock electrified through a mobile homemade soundsystem within a remote village of Thailand. Josh Marcy, an LA music producer, became determined to track down the band in order to record them. This LP is the result of that challenge.

Watch a couple of the videos that got them internationally recognized, with the second video featuring a cover of The Cranberries’ “Zombie”.
